Darien touristic site

 

Darien 's province 

 My name is Joselin Rodriguez I live in Darien during my childhood now I am a teacher and  I would like to invite you to visit many  places in Darien. You as visitor can be in touch with the nature ,people or visitor do something different .If you are planning a travel come to Darien because it is a good experience  .

The first place that i wanna to mention is  La Palma  it is the capital of my province before visiting La Palma you must get to Meteti and travel by car until  Puerto Quimba. After that you take a boat by fifteen minutes more o less during the tour by boat you can observe the maglares, Dolphin and the waves of the Tuira river that splash and splash around of you in the boat. When you are arriving  to La Palama you can observe the hamlet  houses of the Darienitas on the seashore. If you want to eat during the tour you can find restaurants and you can order a delicious rice with coconut and fish don't forget that  it is a traditional dish in my province  .

Different places to go t0 darien .

1.Fuerte de San Gerónimo : In Yaviza there are ruins that were from the colonial era known as the Casa-Fuerte de San Gerónimo, It was built in 1760 in front of the Chucunaque river and was destroyed by the gunas in 1780.

2.Fuerte de San lorenzo in la palma Just across the Gulf of San Miguel on Isla El Encanto are the ruins of the Fort of St Lawrence slowly being consumed by the jungle. There's not much more here than a 10m-tall watchtower with arrow slits, but it once played an important role in safeguarding the gold mines at Cana to the south.

                                         

3.Playa muerto beach. What  about Playa Muerto beach .It has the black sand , palm trees ,jungle and waterfalls .  The best is the opportunity to take photos   sharing with the Emberá indigenous community who live next to the beach in their wooden cabins . 

     

The gulf of san miguel in la palma

 

The Gulf of San Miguel is an island inlet of the Gulf of Panama, located on the Pacific Ocean coast of Panama, in the province of Darien. The Tuira and Chucunaque rivers flow into this gulf, and it is here that Vasco Núñez de Balboa managed to sight the South Sea in 1513.

  Activities to do :

• Fisherman go there to catch  abundant fish ,shrimp and lobsters .

• Visitor observe the dolphin during the tour
