Costums and traditions in Darien
The Darien population is made up mostly of indigenous people, Afro-descendants and settlers who emigrated from other provinces as Chiricanos, Santeños, Herreranos and Veragüenses. Each group fights to preserve their roots and maintain their customs and traditions.
Traditional dance :Bullerengue
The afro -population are locate in yaviza,jaque ,tucuti ,garachine,and la palama. They practice their customs and traditions by dancing and wearing their colorful ethnic dresses, especially in the month of the black ethic day .People celebrate this day with presentations at schools, universities and their communities.
